Hello,

My friend wants to build a PC but we aren't sure what specs to go for. We are in UK. What PC components would you recommend? His budget is £800

If you need more info please let me know :) Also something that could be upgradeable in the future as well without too much hassle.

What software did you have in mind?

Fairly low budget. Does it need to include displays and peripherals?

Do you have any existing hardware that can be re-used?

Going to need a good chunk of storage, so will have to include a hard drive of some sort.

What software did you have in mind? Adobe premier pro

Fairly low budget. Does it need to include displays and peripherals? Display will not be needed

Do you have any existing hardware that can be re-used? No not hardware that could be re-used tbh

Going to need a good chunk of storage, so will have to include a hard drive of some sort. Yeh that's what i was thinking as well

This is about the best I see you getting, with that budget. If by recording, you mean gameplay, quick sync, on the cpu's IGP, can handle that.

Sacrificing CPU for RAM, can always get more ram later.

Which one would you say is the better option from the two you have given?

The 5700x would be superior to a 10700f. My build was not as good as I would have liked, but I kept it constrained to the budget. Changing the CPU to a 13400f would give you more cores/threads to work with, and with the IPC uplift, better than either the 5700x, or 10700f.
