hi
I'm going to buy an ssd drive and i am in two minds about Transcend 370 with 570MB/s read – 170MB/s write speed and Samsung evo 850 with 540MB/s read - 520MB/s write speed.
on the paper samsung is the real winner when it coms to write speed.
My question is that do I really feel any boost in my system performance and speed (windows boot time, games load time ,...) using evo or not.
just guide me in terms of speed , I know about other factors such as quality ,warranty,...
If practically both drivers are the same without any real difference in speed please tell me about it.
thanks

Solution

I wouldn't. I would only upgrade any SSD to a bigger capacity one. Period.

i know about quality and reliability of evo over transcend but my question is about the speed .
how much can i feel the difference in reality. is it felt practically. or the difference is not noticed

Between those two, there would be a perceivable difference in speed, but not so much that i would trade capacity for it.

If you are strapped for cash check this out: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/7v38TW/pny-internal-hard-drive-ssd7cs1311240rb
This one would have no percievable speed disadvantage to the EVO.

Sequencial read is not really that important when it comes to how snappy a system "feels".
