So i decided to do a new build but still cant decide which platform to choose. İm inclined to go for the z370 and the i7-8700k but still am not sure if its enough for what i want to do. I have purchased all the parts except the motherboard and cpu. I will list the parts i have after i have explained to you what i want to do with this build. I want to use it as a workstation, content creation, gaming & streaming.

The parts i have:
Asus Rog Swift PG279
Asus Rog Strix GTX 1080TI OC
Samsung 850 Pro (512GB) For Games
Samsung 850 Pro (256GB) For OS
WD Black HDD (5TB) For storage
Corsair HX1000i PSU
NZXT s340 Elite Case
NZXT Kraken X62 AIO
4 x 8GB G.Skill TridentZ RAM

Now if i should go with z370 platform and the i7-8700K as a cpu, i am torn between the Asus Rog Z370 Maximus X Hero and ASRock Z370 Fatal1ty Professional Gaming i7. If you guys believe to not think of this platform to be suitable for the things i want to do. What platform and cpu would you suggest?

ASRock was born out of Asus. They are both Chinese. Their initial boards used to be pretty bad. But they have improved since then. Their current boards are good quality and are more suited for overclockers with lots of power phases and VRMs. You can go with it. I have build a couple of rigs with their boards and I have not come across any major hurdles upto now.
Having said that, I also prefer Asus above all the brands as their quality is pretty good.

Sadly i dont have the option for the WiFi Hero in my country. Since the release of coffee lake.

The Asus z370 Rog Strix E Gaming is a pretty good board with lots of connectivity options, overclocking potential and features like superior audio codec with headphone amps, bluetooth and wifi. Get that if you have the option.
Otherwise, among the two boards you have listed, although it has not yet been tested but based on the last gen specs of z270, the ASRock looks better with more power phases and connectivity options. Here is a brief comparison of all the 4 boards... https://us.hardware.info/comparisontable/products/412570-413349-381949-413732 (the last one is the z370 Fatality which is not yet tested)

There is the familiarity that i have with the Asus boards, i have only build on Asus boards. Now if i list up the specs between the ASRock and Asus mobo, the ASRock board has more features. Logically you would pick the ASRock board but like i said i never used a ASRock board before. Anyone familiar with ASRock boards? Their build quality and performance?
