Hi there, currently in the process of choosing parts for a new PC and I'm torn between which cooler to choose.

The two options are the Corsair iCue H100i RGB Pro or the H150i Elite RGB.

The other parts that I've went with are:

Case
COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX TD500 MESH ARGB GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Eight Core CPU (3.4GHz-4.5GHz/100MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard
ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING WIFI (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX) - RGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card
10GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 - HDMI, DP, LHR
1st M.2 SSD Drive
500GB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 6900MB/R, 5000MB/W)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 530 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 7300MB/R, 6900MB/W)
Power Supply
CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Processor Cooling
Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler or Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE RGB High Performance CPU Cooler
Thermal Paste
STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT
USB/Thunderbolt Options
MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS

I'd like as much cooling as possible, which is drawing me towards the H150i but it has an extra fan which may cause more noise. The H100i seems like a good fit and has only 2 fans, but not sure if it'd be worth going for the H150i instead for slightly lower temperatures.

I'll be buying my PC from PC Specialist in the UK so my options are slightly limited but after talking to a few people have managed to narrow the choice down between the H100i and H150i.

Thanks.

Edit: According to some sources, the H150i is actually quieter than the H100i. Still recommended either or though, not sure what to go with.

I would get the 150 with that processor.

I have the 5800X3D with a H150i Elite Capellix and after an hour of gaming it hits low 70’s. The gpu fans make more noise so still cannot hear it, only hear it if doing something that only stresses the cpu and even then it very quiet. I think a H100 may be pushed a bit hard and need a more aggressive fan curve.

Ah nice. Think I'll just stick with the H150i then. Thanks!
