Torn on a gaming motherboard

Hello, i am looking to build a gaming pc (first computer build). the problem with this is that i am not sure which motherboard would be best for me. I plan on having a i7 4770k intel cpu (LGA 1150) that i would like to ideally overclock to around 4.3Ghz - 4.5Ghz. I have heard Asus motherboards were good for OC from a tech friend but have read bad reviews on them and have heard worse things about asus customer support. The boards i have looked at are the
-MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Motherboard
-ASUS Z87-PRO Motherboard
and the
-GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-OC Motherboard.
My budget for a mother board is ideally around $200 but can go up to $300 if absolutely needed. In this build i plan on having a Haf X case, a i7 4770k, either a CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i cooler or a Cooler Master Nepton 140XL – Push-Pull CPU cooler, a GeForce GTX 780, 8gb corsair vengeance 1600 ram, a WD BLACK SERIES WD1003FZEX 1TB HDD, a Samsung Evo 250 gb SSD, and a EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w psu. The Z87-GD65 is really good for overclocking.

You could downsize the CPU to i5-4670k without losing much in games. With your budget though, I guess it makes sense to get the i7-4770k.

Why not GTX 780 Ti?

mainly because it is $200 dollars more. but if price was just a number would the 780ti be that much more superior to the 780?

Those are the 3 top boards manufacturers,

Asus is probably still #1
That is probably why they have a bad rep for support, because they can.

Asrock is Asus's American subsidiary, usually cheaper parts, that is why they are cheaper, but still good boards.

I think Gigabyte is #2, not sure though, good boards.

I personally like MSI at the moment.

The fact is the all the boards mention are pretty dependable today.

Pick by the features you want.

When I bought a board last week, only MSI, and Asrock, had the layout I liked, and I went with MSI.

I use to buy exclusively Asus, and Abit .

What board did you purchase? Do you plan on over clocking with it?

780 Ti vs 780 - think 75 fps instead of 65 fps. Not a huge difference.

The reason I asked is because you picked a 1000W PSU. That makes sense only if you intend to add a second card later. I though a single GTX 780 Ti may be enough, and it does cost less than two GTX 780.

If you don't intend to do SLI you can save some money with a 650W PSU.

i intend to do Sli around two months after i complete the initial build. I also plan on having a dual monitor set up so i can watch youtube on one screen while gaming on the other.

Not planning to overclock, I got a B85-G41
But when it starts to get old I usually do.

It dose have MSIs overclocking Genie4.
The i5 4670 3.4GHz non K, runs Flight Sim X with no hesitation on ultra high settings.
