Toshiba bios updates suitable for satellite A300D-15H

I have an toshba satellite that won't update from Vista 'gold' to service pack1.

I don't think a BIOS update will fix that at all, but any BIOS updates will be on Toshiba's website. Don't get BIOS updates from anywhere else or you risk turning your laptop into an expensive paper-weight.
