Hi, I just bought used toshiba C55-A-14W with a "no display" fault. Everything works but the display. But through external monitor all works perfect.
I thought it might be RAM, Display or Display cable but it turned out to be burned capacitor. On other side of motherboard in this location is display socket - nothing seems damadged there. I have very little experience with changing capacitors of this kind.
Can it be fixed? What will happen if I just remove it without replacing. How can I find out what replacement capacitor parameters should be? Any advice would be appreciated - apart from ''buy a new laptop'' - not very adventourous.
