Toshiba external hard drive is not working.

I have had it for some time and yesterday it stopped working. When plugged in there's no light and no sound. Could the connector to the drive be malfunctioning, i.e. pins bent or broken?

how do you connect this drive usb or e-sata and does it have it's own ac power cable ,i would check if the drive or case receive power .
