Toshiba Fan To a Battery

my Toshiba fan has four wires black blue red orange how can I get it to boot of a 9v battery. It doesn't matter that there is no fan as my computer still boots without one.

Might I ask why the motherboard is no longer an option? Something burn out on it?

Too expensive and too rare to replace it.
