Toshiba L20 197cpu upgrade path

HI

I'm need some advise
The laptop has a Celeron M 1.4 on a socket 479.
I have been looking at popping in a cheap Centrino from ebay for around £30.00 for a 1.6 with 2mb level 2 cache

The problem is most of them are listed as been socket 478.
Yet i cannot find many that are listed as 479.
does anyone know what socket they are as some of intels info says they was built on 478 and 479 sockets.

I know that sort of answers the question but i have not seen my type of cpu listed as 479?

I had a similar problem when I wanted to upgrade my laptop and here's what I know. Don't waste your time upgrading a laptop. The motherboards aren't made to support CPU's much higher than they come with. Also socket 479 (if I'm not mistaken) was for mobile processors only...and not for very long. After that they went to 478. I just don't think you'll find another CPU to work in it. Good luck.
