Can i upgrade my Toshiba L300 laptop to a higher processor? Like Intel core 2 duo or intel core i3?

Usually you cannot upgrade laptop CPUs as they're almost always soldered in. Sadly the only solution would be to buy a new laptop or desktop or keep going with what you got now.

But another thing to let you know is that a good performance boost for an older machine is usually to pop in an SSD. Which you can upgrade to. Currently the most recommended SSDs are the crucial M500 and the Samsung 840 EVO

That laptop can run with a Core 2 Duo CPU, you would need to look up the manuals for it to find out exactly what CPU you can use.
