This is my first post.

So, I have a Toshiba Satellite L45-B4205FL, but some the keys of the keyboard aren't working. I have already checked if it was a software issue, but no, it's definitively a hardware issue.

The keyboard of this particular model of Toshiba Satellite is placed under the palmrest and it doesn't seem I can remove it from under the motherboard either.

My question is: Is there a way to access the keyboard and remove it or I have to get the entire keyboard+palmrest? Any recommendations to look for spare part numbers?

Thanks in advance!

as for removing the old one and installing the new one, I'm not sure since I don't have one myself... I suspect ordering the new one and looking at it in person may help you out. Laptops can be packaged very tight and can sometimes be a pain to remove parts from without damaging cables, connectors, and plastic pieces... but I've done it. worst case scenario you could probably take it to an electronics shop like Fry's since they offer repair services, and have them do it for maybe under 50 bucks if you buy the replacement part
