Toshiba laptop turns off randomly

Hi

I have a Toshiba L50-C satellite laptop bought this week refurbished from Argos outlet in the UK!

The computer works perfectly! Except it randomly shuts off, not powers down just shuts off with a static noise sound!

If I remove the battery (power cycle) and run it on ac it works fine

If I put the battery back in and keep the AC in it runs for maybe 40 mins then shuts down

If I keep it just on battery it shuts down after 5 to 20 mins

It's obviously under warranty to Argos but they won't fix it just refund

Is there anything I can do to fix it? Because I'd prefer not to refund

If you just bought it, refurbished or not, it should still have a warranty. Contact them back and get them to repair or replace it before your warranty expires.
