Hi,
This laptop has never really been used and I was just upgrading it to its free win 10 install when I noticed that it had some problems.
I suspected a bad hard drive so ran sea tools for windows which gave a failure on the long test.
I then ran crystaldiskinfo which warns me that there are 326 reallocated sectors and 29 current pending sector counts. The Power on stat is only 1097 hours.
I probably have a bad drive which should have been RMA'ed a long time ago. Is there any chance these re-allocations were due to an event, rather than a failing disk and is there anyway to tell?
It is in a Toshiba sat pro T130-15f. I have a 500 gb 2.5 drive, but it is slower than this one, and so I'd rather not replace it.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
