TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050 or WD5000BPVT/WD5000LPVX/WD5000LPVT

Hello...

I want to purchase a 500gb hard disk for my laptop.I am from India.
I am getting toshiba mq01abd050 in $49.18 (2850 INR) and WD i dont know which of above three (BPVT/LPVX/LPVT) in $51.77(3000 INR).Also i checked out flipkart India's leading online shopping site.The price of wd is

Which one is good Toshiba or WD.I know wd is best but is toshiba also good??

Also whats diffe between WD5000BPVT & WD5000LPVX & WD5000LPVT

And both WD5000LPVT and WD5000BPVT are the same ( STATII-3Gb/s, 8MB Cache, 5400 RPM) but WD5000LPVX is the SATAIII (6Gb/s) drive, and it is faster.

Get the lowest price one. But if you can find WD5000LPVX is same price then get it.

Toshiba does not make their own drives, they usually contract Seagate to make thier drives.

Can u let me know where ur getting the WD5000LPVT/VX for Rs 3,000 as the price on flipkart has now gone upto Rs 3675 and in the market is available for Rs 3,500. Did u buy the hard drive and if yes, can u also let me know what sort of packing it came in, was it in a WD box or just a silverish plastic pouch?

Hi bro hw are you.I finally purchased Hitachi 500GB for just 2850 INR and with 3 years warranty.Hitachi(HGST) is also a WD company

The 3000 price is in my local market area.But wd and toshiba had 2 years warranty

Both are different due to model numbers.And if you want to know for packing.The Hitachi drive came in anti static silverish packing with factory sealed.
