I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D laptop running Linux Mint Cinnamon and I wanted to use VirtualBox to put Kali Linux on it. I have everything set up but I it won't run the instance because it says I don't have virtualization enabled in the BIOS. I get to the BIOS and there is no option. I went to upgrade the BIOS to the new version but Toshiba's support page only has Windows products listed for downloading the latest BIOS version and there is no guarantee that will give me the virtualization option. Does anyone know a surefire way to enable virtualization when the BIOS doesn't give you the option? I'm not really wanting to flash the BIOS or anything like that due to failures on previous attempts leading to "bricked" hardware and I'm not in the financial place to replace this laptop at the moment.

Solution
It looks like Toshiba (depending on if this is high or low spec) disabled VT in the BIOS.

So if it's not in the BIOS,the CPU either doesnt support it. Or Toshiba have disabled it
