Toshiba Satellite L550 - 00V CPU Upgrade

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU. I haven't opened the laptop up to see if the CPU can be replaced. Does anyone know what socket and CPUs are supported? The chipset is Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

Alright well, I hate to crush your laptop upgrading dreams but that isn't a viable option. You could theoretically get that t990 into your socket as it is supported, but the BIOS is unlikely to have the microcode to support it. I learned that the hard way upgrading my laptop CPU, got it seated right but it wouldn't post because the BIOS didn't support it.
