Toshiba Satellite U405 SSD Upgrade

Specs:
Win Vista Home premium 32bit
CPU: C2d T5750 @ 2 Ghz
Ram: DDR2 3 GB (333 mhz I think), upgradable to 4 GB
GPU: Mobile Intel 965 express chipset family.
And a 300 GB 5400rpm Sata HDD

I want to upgrade it In a lot of ways, new battery, 4gb of ram, clean win 7 install and SSD; I want to know if my laptop is SSD compatible and also, what would be the most recommended SSD for that setup.

Hi,

If your current disk is a SATA disk a SSD should work fine but because its a older motherboard the SSD might not preform at max speed. The best SSD is probably a 120 gb or 250 gb here is a link because you only have one internal hard drive bay:
