News Toshiba says Europe doesn't need 24TB HDDs, withholds beefy models from region

It makes sense to prioritize the highest demand regions first (every company does this to some extent). It makes less sense to publicly announce that they're snubbing a region.

Excuse me, what the hell? That is utter nonsense. As someone else said above, they want to get as many drives into the US as possible before tarifs rise even more, nothing more, nothing less. EU is one of the biggest markets for these drives, outpacing GB. This claim makes absolutely no sense. I mean, if they don't want our money, their loss I guess. Just wished the US wouldn't punish everyone else for their nonsense, be it directly or indirectly.

??? The UK is in Europe.
It indeed is; my guess is that they mean EU, not Europe. Still, Germany is a bigger market for these drives than the UK, and France is a big player when comparing between these three, too, making it even stupider. The combined EU will certainly be bigger than UK.
