I bought another 512MB compact flash for my camera today and it got me
thinking about how ubiquitous this stuff is now.

Given that 20 years ago 16K was considered a lot of memory the amount around
is amazing.

Totting it up;

Main computer - 1GB plus 128MB in video - 1.128GB

Daughter's - 512MB plus 128MB in video - 0.75GB

2 spare computers - 128MB each. - 0.256 GB

Pocket PC - 42MB plus 2 x 128MB SD cards - 0.298GB

Camera - 512MB, 256MB and 32MB CF cards - 0.8GB

Total - 3.23 GB ram!

This doesn't include a Dreamcast, Gamecube, several mobile phones, and old
laptop, wireless router, hard disk TV recorder etc etc - I'll bet there's
another 512MB there too.

How much do you reckon you have around the place?

Regards

I carry 2 gig most of the time. 1gig in my palm, and 1gig USB key :)

Can't be bothered to count up the rest, but it'll be a lot!
