February 2015 I built a pc from the ground up and it worked FANTASTICALLY for the first year. Then it started to shut down and restart randomly. I bought a new heatsink at this point. THEN I got new ram as well. Then it was shutting down and wouldn't turn back on. At that point I purchased a new PSU and when that failed to fix it I purchased a new motherboard. I tested it on the outside of the case at this point a it worked outside the case. Cool. I got new spacers for mounting the motherboard to the case. It still didn't work. I swapped my husbands cpu into my pc to see if his (which was working fantastically) would work in mine and it still wouldn't even turn on. THEN I GOT A NEW CASE! And surprise surprise, it didn't work!!!
To explain what its doing-Push the power button and the cpu fan does a degree turn and stops. It only does this the first time and then you need to turn off the psu and turn it back on to do this again.
I have currently hooked up
NZXT case
MSI z97 GD65 Gaming motherboard
EVGA 750 GQ PSU
EVGA Geforce GTX 970 GPU
Intel I7-4790k CPU
Trident G.Skill ddr3 8gig ram
Again, this works BEAUTIFULLY outside the case. Am I missing something stupid basic and I'm over thinking it? Any help would be SO appreciated!
