Touched CPU Cooler

Hey, i bought a Intel i3-6100, so i oppened it and took out the cpu cooler, then i accidently touched the thermal paste on it, just a little bit on the side. So now im wondering if i damaged the cooler and i have to buy a new one, or is it okay because i just touched it a little bit?

I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you wiped your finger and created a void area in the compound, you did no real damage.

No I highly doubt it. Install it and check cpu temps if they are within spec you are fine. If they aren't (which I doubt unless you took off a large amount of paste) just get a tube of thermal paste and replace the paste, you don't need to buy a new cooler.

edit: It will be fine I cant even see where you touched it.
