Touched intel stock fan's thermal compound. Is this bad?

I opened my i5 box to see if any of it was damaged and by accident i picked the cooler up by the thermal paste. I smudged a little and I am worried about it overheating pf my finger oils/dirt breaking it. Should i be worried?
