I've bought a new i5 6600k. And because I'm a rookie i touched the back and front sides of the cpu, how bad is it and can i reverse it somehow? Haven't buildt it yet, just asking.

It should be fine unless you built up a lot of static walking in socked feet on the carpet and felt it 'pop' when you touched it (similar to touching someone else's hand/arm or a doorknob). Static shock can be a real issue but likeliness of it happening are pretty slim. If anything consider using a lint free cloth and a little isopropyl rubbing alcohol, dampen the cloth and just wipe the fingerprints off. Just to remove any oils from your hands off the metal contacts on the backside (lands) of the cpu.

Is touching the other side also a problem? I can just return it if it does not work but I just wanted to ask if touching the other side (top side) can hurt it in a irreversible kind of way
