Hey guys, I've got a Sony VAIO VPCEH series laptop with a wonky left touchpad button, it works fine and all, but is unresponsive when I press on it. What I mean by that is that whenever I press the button, it would register the click, but wouldn't make a clicking sound like my right button. Also, I would have to press pretty hard sometimes for a click to register. I've tried lifting up the button slightly with a pin to blow whatever's inside out with compressed air, but it didn't work.

Aside from taking the laptop apart, is there any other method of cleaning the underside of the touchpad buttons? I was thinking of pouring some isopropyl alcohol down slits of the touchpad to get rid of whatever's inside, but am scared of permanently damaging my laptop.

Thanks in advance!
