touchpad for sony vaio svt151a11L is not working properly, left side gives me right click box and or inspect element box which

I have a sony vaio model svt151A11L , when I click the left side of touchpad I get a inspect element box or the right click box, and wont let me type any letter or do anything unless I click the right side or touch the screen. If I try to highlight something so I can copy I can since the left click on touchpad is not working only right click is working acting as left click (I know it sounds confusing and crazy but it is acting weir). right is working as left , when click on left side inspect element box appears or the right click box. please help!

First of all, go to control panel>Hardware and sound>Devices and printers>mouse which will open the Mouse Properties. In the first tab named buttons, see if the Right handed button configuration is selected. If not, then select it and hit Apply and this should fix your issue. If this doesn't fix it, try connecting an external mouse and see if it works properly. (Note : Use your current combo of Right click to select to navigate to the mouse properties!!)
Otherwise, consider upgrading or downgrading the driver.
