Question Touchpad not always working hp x360

Hey all
I have just got a hp pavillion x360 second hand. The touchpad doesn't always work. If I open the mouse settings, disable then enable it then it will work, and it will continue to work while the laptop is on. I don't want to have to do this every time I log in. Is this a common software issue or could this be hardware failure?

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop/2 in 1 and then make sure your drivers are all up to date. Might it be possible to state which version of Windows 10 you're on?

Can't seem to find a bios for it anywhere. HP Pavilion 13 x360 PC.
Windows version 1903
