Hey guys, I am installing a new front panel on a hp probook 6455b and I've taken everything out and think i broke my zif connector, so it does not fall out after I install everything I am wondering if theres a way to tape it , glue it or anything else to make the ribbon stay connected. Also I forgot which way the ribbon is suppose to go in and have attached two pictures, I would appreciate any help on which way the ribbon goes and any suggestions for holding it in place since I broke the zif connector im assuming, you can tell by the pictures

and never glued or taped one on

though guess its doable in an emergency as long as you get a good connection

itss probably called a retaining clip or something but dont actually know what HP name for it is though they would know what you meant i think

Ok thank you , so the blue is looking at me as I plug it in, and I have a huge workspace where im at work currently working on about ten laptops :( what would the part look like, a white little plastic piece to snap it in? Would there be any way around this like glue or tape or anything before having to order the part ? If not what would the part be called so when I contact HP I know what to ask for /order? Thanksfor your help mcnumpty23!
