This is a non-touch laptop, but for some reasons a touchscreen keyboard pops up every time I want to log in. It started after installing a drawing tablet driver, but even disabling the driver didn't change the fact that it would still pop up. Also no, the computer is not in tablet mode.

To disable the num pad from appearing on your sign-in screen, click on Start menu then search On-Screen Keyboard. On the lower right, click Options then uncheck "Turn on numeric keypad"

its not really touch, its just on screen, you can use a mouse. handy for troubleshooting

Even when unticked it still does it. And that was not the on screen keyboard I was speaking of, it looked different. I know it's the touchscreen keyboard because it appears from the bottom of the screen on Windows 10 based tablets when on tablet mode instead of a window.

When switched from pin to password, the keyboard appears instead of the numpad:

its on screen and touchscreen, same thing

odd it shows even when unticked

right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter

SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files the first time around, and restart PC

I assume you aren't in tablet mode. It is on all versions of windows, not just tablets. Its changes are more obvious than just a numberpad though
