Hello. I have a Moto G and the smoothness of the screen is rough. My finger doesn't slide as easily.

This doesn't happen all the time. I put a small amount of oil to my touchscreen but that was only a temporary solution.

I have a privacy filter on and the bare screen was no different.

Anyone help?

Which Moto G?
How many background apps/tasks do you have running?

What is your screen sensitivity set to? Do you have any screen protectors applied?
Hello. It's nothing like that. My screen does not feel smooth, it's rough. I'm not talking about responsiveness of the device. That's fine. It's just that navigation is sometimes annoying as my finger doesn't glide as easily as other touchscreen devices.

It must be your glass. When did you get the phone, and was it new or used? Has it been repaired before?
And again, are there any screen protectors on it?

The only reason your screen should be grabbin your finger is if the screen is extremely rough (scratches, scuffs, etc), a polyurethane screen protector is applied, a plastic screen protector is applied, or a low quality part was used in a repair.

A solution (without replacing the glass) would be to apply a tempered glass screen protector.
This one will work if your phone is a first gen moto G. http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Screen-Protector-Speedtek-TEMPERED/dp/B00LM8IQRI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419259576&sr=8-1&keywords=moto+g+tempered+glass

Hello.

There are hardly any scratches or blemishes on my phone. I do have a screen protector applied.

I have asked other members of my family to feel and check the smoothness of the screen. They all say there is nothing wrong with it. Probably just me. Have no idea why... My hands definitely do not look like the ones portrayed in the photo you provided.

If the screen protector is anything but a sheet of glass, the issue is the screen protector.
The only thing that will feel like glass, is glass.
