Second time poster, if the topic doesn't fit here let me know.

About one and a half years ago I bought TP-LINK MR6400 router ( View: https://imgur.com/a/Hh6fzgJ
)

Recently it kind of "died on me. While I was browsing the internet, everything was loading slowly. Went to chech the router and restarted/powered it on/off.

This is where the issue comes. The POWER LED is the ONLY LED that is glowing ( View: https://imgur.com/a/sarFGOW
) and whatever I do it stays that way.

I tried holding the restart button for some periods of time, powered it on/off multiple times etc.

I searched around and didn't seem to find any solution for my router and any solution to help me ://

It may not be possible to fix it depends what broke. If the flash memory would go bad similar to a SSD failure there is not much you can do since that chip is soldered to the main board. If it is just software coruption maybe it can be recovered. In general the best instructions on how to recover a bricked device are on the forums for third party firmware like dd-wrt. Even if that model is not supported it might be similar enough. Some of those guys are kinda crazy though. They solder console ports to the motherboards of some routers to recover them.

Make sure you haven't press the WiFi On/Off button.
Try resetting it by pressing and holding the reset button until the Power LED starts flashing.
In case is faulty check the warranty....I think that device might be under warranty.
I tried that many times and no luck 🙁

I really have no luck haha

Thank you for your reply though.

I wish it was software based but my PC doesn't even detect the router.

In the US that device comes with a 3-year warranty and in your case it will be either repaired or replaced. If you have not tampered with the device of course.
Was it brand new when you bought it?
Where did you purchased the unit from?
Which country?
