hi guys! I've been using these TL-PA211's for about 3-4 years. lately i've been experiencing slow internet (from 40mbps to 3mbps) and after a few testing i've realized it was the PA211's fault.
since my room has the poorest wifi signal in the house i can't use it, and i was wondering what can try before going out and buying a new pair (btw i am not using any driver, just plug 'n' play)

thanks

Easiest thing to test first is if its them or your sockets. I'd say just plug them in to other parts of the house and do some network speed tests and see if its consistent. Hell if you're router is that old that may also be a factor, mine just died after 5 years of happy service and drove me nuts figuring out why my speeds went to hell. If you can narrow it down to the units, just replace them. Hell if they're 3-4 years old its time anyway. The tech has improved a lot since the first gen's. You can get a top end pair for $80.

I'm using the ZyXEL AV1200 PLA5405KIT and like them. You've used EoP for a few years so you probably know the trials and tribulations of powerline so I wont repeat them, but I tested out a few different sets of...

I'm using the ZyXEL AV1200 PLA5405KIT and like them. You've used EoP for a few years so you probably know the trials and tribulations of powerline so I wont repeat them, but I tested out a few different sets of Zyxel, Dlink and even MoCA and found this to be the best performing. TP-link makes a great kit as well from what I've heard, I just didn't have access to it. I know they tend to make smaller units (which I'd kill for) but the ZyXEL's I used seem to be the fastest tested on the market from the online reviews I checked out.
