I have the Asus RT-AC66U router and I just purchased 3 TP-LINK TL-SG108E switches to connect multiple devices from around my house. I would like to know the best way to setup the switches to get the best and more efficient way to setup the network. I have ports 1 and 2 on all 3 switches set up with 1000mbps because I connected what I consider the most important things to them and I have the QOS with high priority on these ports as well. Would that work and would this be the most efficient way to set these switches up? Thanks

It probably won't make any difference. Gigabit network has sufficient capacity to handle most household network traffic without any special manipulation. Bring a single cable from each switch back to the router and forget it. That is usually all that is required.
