Windows 7?

Does the adapter show up in the device manager and say that it is working? If so, you can try changing the device MAC address with a good free tool from HERE.

You can run ipconfig /all in the command prompt window, and if the adapter has a 169.x.x.x address you have an unidentified network problem that is not due to the adapter.

Sorry RealBeast On my Computer It's a Windows 8.1 and Yes it says that is working correctly.

I ran the ipconfig all and it said:

Autoconfiguration IPv4 Adress:169.254.121.192(Preferred)

Did you try changing the MAC address of the adapter?

In the network control panel do you have a public network? If so, change it to a home or work network.

Unfortunately Windows 8.1 still has some wireless issues as you can see HERE. If the MAC change doesn't help, I would try uninstalling the wireless adapter, connecting with an Ethernet cable and once you make a connection, reinstall the adapter (you probably can just unplug and replug it).

Yea I tried changing the MAC address and nothing.I selected it as a Home Network.

Just INstalled a brand new copy of Windows 7 ultimate x64...

The adapter connects fine to the router and then after 5 seconds the internet access disappears..

There :)

Okay, everything looks good there.

First attach your computer to the modem (not the router, but directly to the modem) with an Ethernet cable and run www.speedtest.net and pingtest.net to check your connection.

Next you will need to check your router to insure that WAN (your Internet Service Provicer) settings are correct, so get your router manual and the papers from your ISP out to consult.

Please help me with this. i am encountering the problem of what you said of ip address

Start a new thread -- you have a different issue, an unidentified network that may be related to your VMWare network connections. Look at solutions for unidentified networks for your specific version of Windows.

Also insure that the wireless network is higher priority than the VMWare connections. .
