TP-LINK TL-WN735N won't work properly.
Tech Support

I just want to listen to some music in Youtube and Scroll through reddit, but my Wifi adapter continues to disappoint me, it keeps loading then stops then loads again, the Wifi speed is went from 25mbps to 800kbps to 1.7mbps.

I installed the drivers properly and correctly and my laptop is next to my pc and has a more faster Wifi Speed. I don't wanna buy a new adapter.

The Wifi speed went up a little better when i removed the flash drive next to the Wifi adapter and the result was very strange It keeps going to 4.2 mbps then suddenly 0 kbps then 4.2mbps then again and again when playing 720p Youtube,

When downloading updates. (Steam, Windows Updates etc..) it keeps going to 5mbps then 0 then 5 then 0, which is wierd.

TP LINK TL-WN725N V3, can't find any solutions to fix this problem

PLEASE help..

To some extent you get what you pay for. They sell clone versions of those tiny adapters for $2 on amazon and even the tplink ones are sold for under $10.

Those type of adapters are designed to portable devices not desktop machines. They have very low power radios and very tiny antenna. Your laptop much larger antenna behind the screen and it could have a full power wifi card.

In addition your desktop is a massive piece of metal. It blocks wifi signals very well. That tiny adapter is almost inside the case so its already tiny antenna are being blocked from many directions.

There is little you can do about the device itself unless you are willing to replace it. You could try a USB extension cable to get it away from the...

Anything will likely be better than that device.

The best PCI cards have short antenna cables that allow you to place the antenna on top of the case. Although normal PCI cards have very large antenna compared to USB devices they are still very close to the back of the case.

USB device can function as well as PCI cards. The ones you want to look for come with a small stand and a USB extension cable already. These device generally have larger antenna and run at full power.

The manufactures change their part numbers so fast I can't keep up with them. The best rated and unfortantly the most expensive devices come from asus. Tplink makes quality stuff too you just have to look for it.

Still I would try a USB extension cable first maybe you get lucky.

Thanks, this is very helpful :). I'll try the USB extension trick first.
How about one of those Laptop Wifi card adapter for Desktop PCIE, i have an old laptop that has a decent Wifi and Bluetooth Card but that laptop hasn't been working for 3 years now (Dead CPU). Is extracting the Old Wifi and Bluetooth Card of a laptop and buying an Adaptor good?

I don't wanna spend a lot.
