TP Link upgrade to DD-WRT

Hello peoples. I have downloaded DD-WRT programme to my laptop. Now I'm going to upgrade my wireless TP-Link WR841N v8.4 router. But I see that the new ip address of the router will be 192.168.1.1 My Zyxel modem has a Lan ip address of 192.168.1.1 and I'm concerned that this will cause conflict and then I'll lose my connection. Is there somthing I must change on either the router or modem to prevent any trouble after the DD-WRT upgrade?

Thanks for taking the time to answer, scout_03. But I'm a bit of a newbie. When you say update it, do you mean update/upgrade the router with DD-WRT when the modem is unplugged from the router or power supply? Or do you mean update the router with s new ip address when the modem is unplugged? If so, what choice of ip address can I make?
