Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to look at my issue.

About 2 months ago I purchased a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 to better improve my internet connection from my PC that is in my bedroom to my modem and router that is the basement of my house. I previously had TP-LINK USB internet card, even though it worked OK I wanted something stronger.
Ever since I first installed this WDN4800 I have had nothing but issues with it. It would work properly for atleast a week then go totally trash for a few days, it wont connect to either my modem or router.
My modem is a Rogers Modem with an internet plan that offers up to 100Mbps over 7 devices. My router is a NETGEAR NightHawk X6 and works perfectly with everything else. I've read somewhere that TP-LINK internet cards have issues connecting to anything that isn't TP-LINK, (Even though my USB card was fine with connecting to the router) so I connected to my modem, but that still doesn't solve my problem.
The only way I noticed this was that when I am playing a game on Steam, I would constantly pop from online mode to offline mode, sometimes I would even stay offline until I stop playing the game. I've already tried uninstalling Steam, but that didn't help. The card just constantly disconnects from the internet without any reason, I've already tried disconnecting the modem and router and restarting them but that didn't help either, I tried repairing the driver for the internet card but that didn't help either. I tried completely reinstalling the whole driver but that didn't help either. I also tried putting all 3 antennas in different directions instead of all standing beside each other but that didn't help either. I haven't found anything online regarding my issue and I haven't seen any related problems.
I even had trouble posting this thread without disconnecting from the internet!
There aren't any Ethernet ports near my PC so wireless is really the only option.

Could it be that my internet card is just too far from the modem and router?
I am prepared to purchase another card if it will guarantee work on the long distance.

Sorry if I made any mistakes or left out any important information, all answers are very appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

Could be the card is too far away, could be that your computer is blocking a lot of signal from getting to those antennas on the back of the case.

The much better option over a wifi card is a powerline networking adapter, even better if you get an av1000 or av1200 model. These will give you not only better speeds over wifi but better latency and a more solid connection.
You MUST plug these directly into outlet, no power strip, no surge protector, not even a 1-to-3 splitter.
