Question TPM for ROG Z790 extreme?

specificaly about Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme motherboard
i know the function and need of a TPM in a general sense
but i know notihng of the hardware side of TPM.
i understand that the MB above doesn't have his own TPM which menas i need to add one.
is there a specific TPM i need to get?
will any TPM (given the right connection) do?
is there a best TPM?

soryr in advance for seeming so ignorant on the subject to ask question like this?
i tryed searching the web but didn't find the answer. so going for the direct approch.

Hey there,

You may not need to buy one. Most modern motherboards have the fTPM feature in the bios. Search around in your bios and look for the fTPM option. Then you should be good to go.

as above, just turn on ftpm in the bios and don't worry about it. no need to spend any more money than you already have.
