Hi there everyone,
Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if I'd
be able to play the original TR games (released for Playstation 1) on
Playstation2 (which I just recently purchased). Are there any issues with
that or can the PS2 play the games for PS1? I'm very new to this since I've
been mostly a PC gamer so far, therefore don't know too much about PS2 or
PS1 compatibility. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Alan D.

But make sure you have a PS1 memory card handy, as PS1 games can't use PS2
memory cards.

Yes! They will work fine...but the graphics will leave a sour pit in your
stomach compared to PS2 games.

However, you will need to purchase a PS1 memory card thingy, as PS1 games
can't save to the PS2 memory cards.

The PS1 cards usually cost around AUD10 (say....USD6). Just walk into any
decent games/ electronics store and ask for a Play Station 1 memory card.

That should do the trick...but there are further options to fiddle around
with on your PS2 if things go horribly wrong. Get back to us and tell us if
something seems awry...we're more than happy to help!

Good luck...

Great tips regarding the memory card... The TR1 and 2 are on their way from
Ebay to me =) I guess in the meantime I'll grab one of the PS1 memory cards.
Also, I wonder if perhaps I should find a copy of TR-AOD... I tried it on PC
and didn't get too fascinated. Perhaps I should re-try it on PS2? We'll see.
I realize that the TR1 won't look as nice on PS2 as it did on the PC (hehe,
with 3DFX at that time), but what the hell... It'll bring some great
memories for sure =) Thanks agan guys.
