TR III Really stuck early on in River Ganges level - HELP!!!

Hi, I've come late to TR and am now playing TR III. I know from TR II that
you can eventually solve everything, but already in the River Ganges level I
can't get ahead. I'm on the quad bike and have got to the first difficult
jump and just can't get across. I thought there might be some trick as there
was with the snowbike in TR II but I can't spot anything. Anyone care to set
me straight?

IIRC, you have to hold the handbrake (cant remember which button but its in
the manual) Rev up the engine, then release the handbrake.
Failing that try http://www.tombraiders.net

Handbrake in TR3 is the [?/] key. I believe the manual incorrectly
indicated it to be the [Insert] key.
