Trading a MSI GTX 670 Power Edition for a Club3d Radeon R9 280 is it worth it?

Hey guys so I'm thinking of trading a GTX 670 Power Edition 2gb for a Club3d Radeon R9 280 3gb I'm planning on gaming at 2560X1080 should I do the trade? (The owner of the 280 claims it has overheated once because he forgot to turn on the gpu fan he claims the screen started flickering but everything is fine now, is that bad and still worth the trade? I also never tried amd cards before so..)

The R9 280. Has more VRAM for playing in 2560x1080, and is generally faster.

Both are closly matched in performance. The extra vram is the only thing better about the 280, but, if it's damaged it doesn't matter how much vram it has. It's not worth the risk because it's barely an upgrade over the GTX 670.

Phhh no not worth it, the improvement is minimal.

But if the extra ram helps you substantially then go for it.

The msi 670 pe is a solid card. The inno 3d anything less so.

Yes the 280 offers more ram and slightly better performance than a stock 670 but the pe is as fast as a 680 and can be pushed further.
