currently building a pc for my brother. He wants it to be able to run 1 1080p and 1 1440p monitor and be able to have a lot(8+) of browsers open. This pc will mainly be used for day trading but it should also able to run recent games pretty well (e.g red dead 2 on medium to high / GTA v on ultra, 60fps for both)

The budget is 1000-1200 but if you recommend any improvements please leave a £230 gap as the other monitor he wants is not on pc part picker (we already have the other one)

Thanks

Which monitor will you be gaming on? As I doubt the 580 will perform well in the games you mentioned at 1440. But would do pretty good at 1080.

That cooler is only good for a 120w tdp. The 2700x is 105w at stock clocks. Imo that cooler will be inadequate for anything other than stock settings.

I would probably get a higher quality psu, with a system draw of 389w, a 450w lower tier supply isnt the best option. Also a slightly nicer board. The one selected doesn't look to have the best cooling on it. Also any reason you went micro atx in a standard size case?

This list doesn't include the case, or the added fans. It's a little more expensive but still under the 1000 budget. Itll perform much better in 1440p gaming, but again the 580 you had selected would be good for 1080p. I'd also consider a 1tb ssd vs the 512gb if it's going to be the only drive in the system. Gta v is close to 80gb and rdr2 is looking like it will be over 150. That's half the drive gone already!
