Hi all,

I reinstalled windows recently since I had upgraded from a 120gb ssd to a 500gb ssd. When I installed windows, it decided to install the boot partition to the 120gb ssd. When the 120gb ssd is unplugged my computer cannot boot from my 500gb and gives a blank screen. I want to know if it is possible to move the EFI boot partition to the 500gb drive and remove the old drive completely.

I just reinstalled windows and put my programs on, so I would prefer not to do that again.

Solution

Used EaseUS partition manager and merged the partition to some unallocated space on the ssd and now its booting without it. Halleluyia!
