A 'matrix' is simply a cross reference of different money amounts vs different types of authorizations.


For instance, different transactions...
$100 might need no special authorization. Just do it.
$1000 might need a text message 2 factor authorization.
$10,000 might need a personal phone call.
$100,000 might need a face to face visit in the bank office.

That is a "matrix".
