Hello. I have a transcend StoreJet 25A3 1TB external hard drive and it suddenly stopped working on my PC. When I plug it in the PC the blue light starts shinning but the disk doesnt show up in disk management or anywhere else. The problem could be with the USB ports, but they work fine with other USB flash drives. Also the disk works fine on other computers and on a TV. Does anybody have an idea what to do? Please help

Hey there, Mateuz.

This sounds pretty unusual, having in mind the drive has no issues and it works perfectly well on other computers. I'd recommend that you try uninstalling it from Device Manager and then connect it to the computer again, so that Windows can install its drivers again, to see if this fixes the issue. Other than that you could try updating your USB drivers as well. Do you remember doing anything in particular before this issue occured? You could always try to do a System Restore to a previous point before you had that problem. What are the USB ports of your computer and the ones of the other computer (with which the drive's working OK) e.g. 2.0 or 3.0?

If you have any doubt that there might be something wrong with your HDD, I'd recommend that you backup any important data, just to be on the safe side and test the drive with an HDD diagnostic tool to see if anything alarming pops-up.

Hope that helps.
