Hello,
I have music recording software that is on my desktop (windows 7) and I would like to transfer it on to a flash drive so that I can install the software onto a PC that does not have a CD drive. Can I just copy and past the program on to the flash drive?
Thanks

It did come on a CD, but when I put the CD in I get no choice where to install it, it default installs on the primary drive.

You don't want to install it, you want to copy the files from the CD drive on to the flash drive. Open the CD in explorer and do that.

Then after copying them, put the flash drive in the other Computer, open it in windows explorer and run setup.

So I put the CD in and popped up a window called "autoplay" I clicked open folder to view files. Then it takes me to another folder that has the setup application in it, but it's only 700kb, I know the software is 5 gigs

You need to get to the root level of the drive, close that window, open "My Computer" right click on your CD Drive and select "Explore" or "Open". When it opens copy all the files, and folders to your USB Flash drive. The stuff in the folders is what is needed to copy over. Then when its done and you put it in the other computer and run setup.

Thanks for the help, that worked.
