andy,

copy/paste from 2002 to 2004, some aircraft work this way some don't, but
then you'll have to copy/paste a panel from 2004 into imported aircraft if
it works to use the GPS function.

you can not transfer 2004 in to 2002.(at least i couldn't)

hi me -
This will work only if the gauges required by the panel
configuration happen to be in the FS9 Gauges folder also.
Some are, many are not, so as you've said, this is sort
of a 'maybe' proposition.
Andy -
Type 'fs2004 add-on aircraft' into Google and you'll get
a ton of links to freebie downloads for a/c designed for
fs2004... they will install with a minimum of hassle.

This is explained on the web site for Microsoft games.
Go to the source directory and copy the "aircraft" folder
from one sim to the other. You may have to copy the
gauges as well (I didn't have to from CFS2 to FS2002 -
they worked ok). One problem I haven't found a fix for
is that the imported aircraft works ok, but you can't see
it in the outside view!
