[SOLVED] Transfer from Seagate to imac

I had to reformat my imac HD and now I want to download all the files I backed up on my Seagate external drive. How do I do this.

How or what (software) did you use to back up the files to your Seagate drive? Since it is an iMac did you use Time Machine to back up the files? If no, what specifically did you use? All of this is assuming you have reinstalled the OS on your iMac.
