Hello, I've had this problem with my computer where it crashed, and suddenly won't boot, I power on, it shows BIOS options, then goes to a fully black screen with a underscore in the top left, not flashing just there. I cloned a harddrive from another computer (with working Windows) and it boots, but it has a lot of stuff that I don't need and isn't mine so I need to reset it, except if I attempt to reset it says,"cannot find Windows recovery environment" so I'm trying to use an application to clone ONLY Windows files to another harddrive and start new, is there any apps or any suggestions y'all have?

Unfortunately, that does not exist. There is no application that will do that.
Unless it is already in its own partition, you can't split out "only Windows".

Yeah, clean, full install time. Even if you *could* only clone over Windows, you're cloning a Windows install that was improperly installed in the first place. And even if you could clone over Windows, your friend is going to find his copy of Windows deactivated because OS installs aren't just something you bum off other people like a cigarette or a few dollars.
