So I have a link to download windows 10 and I want to use it on my new computer in Lou of buying it. The link is completely legal and all I need to do is get it onto my new system so that I can use it.
My friend mentioned that I can download it onto a USB and then plug it into my new computer and then install it that way. I couldn't find anything on this, and so if anyone knows if this is possible, any comment would be great.
to try to state it again, I have a link to windows 10 on my current computer, I am building a new one and need a new OS. To save about 70 dollars, I need to transfer the download link onto my new computer so that I can load it on there.

Again, any advice would help tremendously. I am very much out of my depth....

if it a dell or hp or a computer that has windows pre loaded that pc can be upgraded to windows 10 without any issues. if your older computer is one you built and has oem of windows what you want to do in download windows 10 wiht the new microsoft media creation tool. make the usb stick (8g) stick. boot the stick and when it asks for a windows key use the old windows pc key. when you do that you cant use your old pc. if you do both pc will come up with non register. if the new pc wont activate you have to call ms and say your mb died and was replaced. if you have the retail copy of windows 7 then it should go smooth.
